My Latitude D620

It is easy to get overwhelmed by all of the options available at the computer store. Browsing electronics brands at the store whenever I set my feet on the ground of a shopping mall has been a routine I would never miss. Life is so much easier and handy with all the crazy gadgets we use every day, and new model and application are emerging from the market. I could not imagine how life would be like without a technological device nowadays.

…. ?-?….~-^

Though, how does it feel like to go to work daily obligating one carrying 3.5kg metals in an old case and then open the case only to find out that it is a 12-years old with only 20G memory space and 504MB of RAM, version 2002 laptop? I immediately wondered just how I would be able to do my high-tech work without an appropriate device and the latest technology at our disposal in 2011. My sense would bombard with things I had not as using the latest technology during my past employments in today’s hyper-connected technological world.

Beyond the technology conspiracy, the significance is that there has been a lot of negativity in me about whether I can do much with scarce resources providing to a management staff in a modern workplace.

It is this feeding frenzy, “a management staff must be providing a better office environment and a powerful and enduring platform in spite of everything” that, at some points, we are led to believe that the appropriate office environment will ensure promises of work fulfillment.

Seduced by the prospect of a management office wired with the latest technology, I am unenthusiastic give in. Its uploading rate is extremely slow and unreliable. I was incapable to connect individuals, disseminate content and access instant information, which would impede response to feedback. That taps into my deepest anxieties about what it means to be a capable manager when I am regularly facing a technology breakdown – program not responding, and must be follow by a re-boot or force-shutdown repetitively for the rest of the work hours of a day.

Not trying to undermine somebody’s confidence; speak to my heart, my work laptop is numb and tactless.

I am looking for a great blogging website, but there are just too many! I am actually looking for a website that’s free and there can be many bloggers on one site. For example, I created a blog and people who I choose (friends and family) can easily start blogging on the site. If I could easily update it from my iPod touch that would be nice. And if I could personalize easily. (Have my own logo and background) Note this is not mandatory! Thank You’s ahead!.
